You're a high school student who is extremely talented in computer graphics. You want to create your own web page to publicize your talent, but your funds are low. After discussing the costs of having your own web page with your parents, they tell you that they refuse to fund your project. You have the talent and ability to create a great web site to show off your computer art, but how do you get around the cost of creating your own web page?

You decide to find any means possible to create your own page. Here is your mission should you choose to accept it.

* Browse the net and discover any programs that will allow you to create a web site for free

* Create a web site that displays your artistic ability and a gallery of your computer art using the following tools and programs:

* Free web space

* Adobe PhotoShop

* Adobe Illustrator

* Ofoto

Remember, all artwork has to be yours. NO CLIP ART!

The first step in this project will be creating the artwork you want to display on your web page. As you know, your artwork can be created in either Adobe PhotoShop or Adobe Illustrator. Once you have completed your portfolio, you will begin looking for a web site that will enable you to create a web page for free. Once this has been found, you will begin to design your web page in the "advanced editor" and uploading your artwork to place on your site. Once this has been done you can simply add more artwork to your site as you continue to create new work.

Do you think your web site is amazing? Do you think it is good enough to be displayed in our evaluation section of this web quest? E-mail us with your web url, and we'll check it out! Who knows, it could be posted.

Congratulations! You have successfully created your web page! Now all you have to do is simply update your web site with new artwork as you create it. Give your web site to your friends and family and have them sign a guest book on your site, or e-mail you with their imput. Getting other people's critique will help make your web page more professional looking in the future. Keep working!
